In the months leading up to my wedding I had visited countless websites and saw tons of wedding videos and photos (ok maybe I slightly neglected the business I own with my husband Luxe Studios, but hey, I was planning my wedding!)
Stillmotion was among the few companies that really made a big impression on me, and through their incredible cinematography and photography I discovered my passion for people and photography as well.
Since words can’t really sum up their creative genius I guess I should just get to the goods, here are 3 of my favourite videos:
First, their demo reel:

One of my favourite wedding videos ever! I love the background music, it’s perfect!

A video of a Trash-The-Dress shoot they did:

Amina and Patrick of Stillmotion are also getting married and I want to wish them all the best! Here’s a little teaser video of their wedding location:

This looks incredibly beautiful, I’m sure you guys will have a gorgeous and fun wedding, congratulations!
(check out their site www.stillmotion.ca or Blog and be prepared to not leave your desk for a while… ohh and how could I forget, their videos on Vimeo.)

My recently engaged girlfriend paid me a visit, and reminded me of something that I’ve been meaning to share with you, but slipped my mind. We were catching up on her trip to Australia and chatting about how she could display all the photos that she’s accumulated during her 1-year stay.
-And then it hit me! => Blurb :D
I love Blub books! Not sure what I’m talking about? Head on over to www.blurb.com and have a look, you’ll be glad you did.
Blurb allows you to self-publish any type of book or photo album that you want, you can even sell it on their online store, and it really is as easy as 1-2-3.

I made an album a while ago as a wedding present for my husband and it turned out fantastic! The software is easy to use, they now offer premium paper, and their hardcover imagewrap albums are gorgeous (which is what I ordered). A Blurb book would make a great gift or you could use it print a personal portfolio, a cookbook with family recipes, and of course a beautiful professional looking photo album.
My 13×11 inch large format landscape album:

Check out Blurb for your next printing project.

Snapping a photo is never the end… for me it’s just the beginning. I love editing my photos, playing around with the colors, or just giving them that something extra that adds to the memory that was captured.
Here’s a photo of my mother-in-law that I recently edited (the photo wasn’t taken by me, but it looked like it needed a little bit of umph! so I played around with it)

I remember the first photo I saw that was taken by Zhang:
I was stunned, and I had to learn more!
Only picking up photography 2 years ago, 20 year old Singaporean photographer Zhang Jingna (aka zemotion) has already managed to turn professional, with a portfolio that includes names like Mercedes Benz, Ogilvy & Mather Advertising (Taiwan), Architecture International, Wacom, and The Arts House.
Her images are beautiful, surreal and incredibly captivating. She is an inspiration to me, and I continue to be amazed by her works.
Here are some of my favourite images:
