Little moochers
These two super sweet girls followed us around the house trying to sneak kisses from Jessie and I, here’s Gabi and Jujie: ( I couldn’t resist, I had to take a few pics of the puppies, I just love them!)

As promised, here are more photos from yesterday’s shoot. The weather was horrible, rainy and dark outside, so all of these were taken in her home mostly beside windows.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing one of my gorgeous girlfriends, with my new Nikon.. which I nicknamed Wall-E.. (because I really love that little robot.. and well.. I figured, my first camera deserves a name..)
The photos turned out amazing! (I used the Nikon 50mm/1.8 AF D lens).
Here’s a little sneak peek: (Click the photo to enlarge).
I’ll post more photos soon!

I like fridays, fridays are fun and exciting and to me different than mondays to thursdays. That’s why I’ve decided to make fridays a little bit more special on my blog.
Every friday I’ll be featuring my favourite trash-the-dress images from various photographers from around the world. Since this is my very first post about this topic, I feel as though an introduction is necessary for those not familiar with the growing popularity of this phenomenon.
Well it’s different, and it can range from some creative shots the day after the wedding with your new husband… to completely shredding your dress to pieces. Why might someone do something crazy like this to their beloved wedding dress? Because, think about it.. what’s the alternative?
Have your dress cleaned, and carefully stuffed in a small little box to suffocate for the next foreseeable future.. until what? Your daughter wears it? Maybe.. maybe not. You could sell it… but then you might miss it, or another option: donate it to a charity for women who can’t afford to purchase an expensive wedding dress (which is a very nice option by the way).
To me, a trash the dress session is all about creative photography, letting go of the fear that your pristine dress may get a bit of dirt on it, and having fun with your husband (but then again I’m a bit biased, since I did “trash” my dress.)
{by the way, thanks to the ocean in the Rivera Maya… the slightly dirty hem of my beautiful wedding dress came out perfectly clean! - and no I’m not making that up, my dress is in perfect condition

I want to leave you with some images from John Michael Cooper who is credited with coining the phrase “Trash the Dress”
John Michael Cooper, a 22 year photography veteran - shooting things his own damn way. From high volume Vegas style weddings to extravagant events across the country, John first arrived into international attention because of his unconventional approach in conjunction with a “dress unfriendly” concept of art that inspired the current Trash the Dress craze that is consuming brides and changing their views of photography as they know it.
Here are 2 of his most popular photographs, his versions of “Joan of Arc” and “Ophelia”
