Friday’s Trash The Dress

Del Sol Photography is headed by Matt Adcock and Sol Tamargo, a very sweet husband and wife team based in the Rivera Maya, Mexico.

They were one of the companies that I was considering hiring for my own wedding, and as soon as I saw their work, I was blow away by the locations of their Trash-The-Dress shoots.

The shoot in the jungle, in the city, and my favourite, in cenotes :)

Cenotes are magical, enigmatic and unique in the world and were once the only resource for fresh, sweet water in the local Yucatecan jungle. They were the sacred places of the Maya for that reason, but also because they represented the entrance to the underworld.

I’m happy that my husband and I had a chance to visit Cenote Azul while we were in Playa Del Carmen.. it was quite an adventure! (he lost his wedding band in a deep crevice at the bottom of the cenote, but the amazing employees that work there dove for almost an hour and luckily found it just as the sun was setting)

Some of my favourites from Del Sol:

Check out their site for lots more amazing images!

Yay for Moo Cards!

I recently discovered these super cute, and incredibly versatile cards and I can’t wait to purchase my first set! (more info on www.moo.com).

They’re perfect for photographers, artists, or anyone that needs to show off their work and creativity. Since you can have a different photo on the back of each tiny business card, you’re free to express all your works (lots of photos of them on flickr).

Photo by Moo founder Richard Moross:

But Moo is not just about tiny customizable business cards, they have lots of other products, and from what I’ve read, they’re planning on releasing many more based on consumers requests. They’ve gained quite a popularity both online and off, and rightly so!

The price is reasonable, and if you want a more grow-up or “businessy” look to your calling card, they now offer standard business cards as well. Personally, I’m leaning towards the Moo MiniCards… maybe I’ll order a pack after the holidays :D.

Candids

Christmas is almost here, and in true gemini nature, I still haven’t purchased a single present… at least I’ve made it out to the stores…just didn’t find what I was looking for.

I did bring along my nikon and documented my girlfriends’ shopping spree :P

Joe

I love how photography can bring people together, you can connect with others through the lens, or by just walking around with a camera :P

I met Joe, while waiting for the train (I was taking some shots of the tracks), he noticed my nikon strap, so we started chatting about photography and cameras and all that good stuff.

I snapped a quick photo of him just before we got off the train:
